Overview
High-volume operations rarely need ice in small bursts – they need it continuously, through lunch service, evening peaks, and late-night bar hours. The YD-SK-1500P is designed around that reality. Its modular layout separates the ice-making head from the storage bin, so the head can run at full capacity while the bin holds a working reserve of 315 kg (693 lb) ready for use.
This configuration also simplifies logistics and installation. Each component is packed separately, which reduces the risk of damage in transit and makes it easier to move the units through standard doorways and into back-of-house areas.
Footprint and Installation Space
Assembled, the machine occupies a floor area of approximately 1227 mm wide by 973 mm deep, with an overall height of 1928 mm. When planning the installation, allow additional clearance at the rear and sides for air circulation (particularly on air-cooled models), as well as access to the water, drain, and electrical connections. The bin door opens from the front, so the unit can be placed against a wall or between other equipment.
Modular Design for Flexible Installation
The ice-making head and ice bin are shipped as two separate packages. On site, the head is mounted directly on top of the bin, and connections for water, drain, and power are completed from the rear. If your kitchen layout changes or your ice demand grows, the modular approach allows the head to be relocated or paired with a different bin size without replacing the entire system.
Consistent Cube Ice Output
The machine produces solid, slow-melting cube ice that performs well in cold beverages, cocktail service, buffet displays, and food preparation. Output is rated at 1500 lb (682 kg) per 24 hours under standard conditions. Actual production will vary with ambient temperature and incoming water temperature, which is typical of all commercial ice makers.
Air-Cooled or Water-Cooled Condenser
The YD-SK-1500P can be supplied with an air-cooled or water-cooled condenser unit. Air-cooled models are straightforward to install and avoid water consumption for cooling. Water-cooled models are often preferred in enclosed spaces or in hot kitchens where ambient air temperatures are high. Our team can help you select the option that fits your installation environment.
Refrigeration and Electrical Specification
The unit operates on R404A refrigerant and is rated for 220V at 50 or 60 Hz, with a power draw of 2860 W. This makes it compatible with electrical supplies in most export markets without additional conversion equipment. Please confirm your local voltage and frequency when placing an order.
Stainless Steel Construction
The exterior panels of both the ice head and the storage bin are stainless steel, which is easy to wipe down and holds up to daily use in commercial kitchens. The bin door is a front-opening design for convenient scooping, and the bin sits on adjustable legs to allow leveling on uneven floors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much floor space does the YD-SK-1500P need? A: The assembled unit measures 1227 mm (L) × 973 mm (W) × 1928 mm (H). We suggest allowing extra clearance around the unit for ventilation and service access; our team can advise based on your condenser type and site layout.
Q: Can the YD-SK-1500P ice head be used with a different bin? A: Yes. Because the head and bin are separate units, the head can be matched with other compatible bin sizes depending on your storage requirements. Contact us with your layout and we will confirm the options.
Q: Should I choose air-cooled or water-cooled? A: Air-cooled units are simpler to install and do not consume cooling water. Water-cooled units are generally more suitable for hot or poorly ventilated spaces. Share your installation conditions with us and we will recommend the appropriate configuration.
Q: What water supply does the machine require? A: A potable water connection with standard mains pressure is required. We recommend installing a water filter upstream of the machine to reduce scale and extend the service interval.
Q: Is the machine available in other voltages? A: The standard specification is 220V, 50/60Hz. For other voltage requirements, please contact our sales team to discuss availability.
Q: What is the typical lead time for an order? A: Lead time depends on order quantity and configuration. Please request a quote and we will provide a current production and shipping schedule.
Q: Do you supply spare parts? A: Yes. Common service parts such as water pumps, solenoid valves, and control boards can be supplied with your order or shipped separately as needed.
